Is the Navy SEALs like what I see in the movie "Navy Seals""?

I watched that 1990 movie. Rick Rossvich was hot (He is a superb actor in a horrible movie), and the best actor in that horrid movie. Would someone like Charlie Sheen's character remain on "the teams"?
