Using round paper lantern for wedding decor?

I have a dilemma, the restaurant for the reception has two small ugly chandeliers in the banquet hall. I wanted to hang some round paper lanterns behind our headtable since it will be just covered with curtains. Will it look weird with the chandaliers hanging just 20feet in front of us??
