I don't understand the complaints of my fellow Christians about scientific theories opposing the Bible. Why...?

....is "living things coming from non-living things" [abiogenesis] so evil when that is exactly what the Bible describes [Adam came from dust of the ground] AND "something coming out of nothing" [actually a very poor misunderstanding of the Big Bang Theory] is denounced even though EX NIHILO is a primary Christian doctrine based upon the Bible? So considering that these scientific theories harmonize well with the Bible, why do some Christians rave and rant against them as "obviously wrong" and "unbiblical"?
